Course B.Ed. 403 - SCHOOL MANAGEMENT

Unit-1

·         Basic management functions:  Planning, organising, leading, motivating, and controlling and their implications for effective school management.

·         Using management functions for an effective classroom management in school.

Unit-2

·         Needed skills for conducting strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat (SWOT) analysis for improving school management.

·         The technique of ‘Can do’/ ‘Will do’, ‘Cannot do’/ ‘Will not do’ to enhance competence in school/ classroom management.

Unit-3

·         The concept of TQM and the scope for its application in school management.

·         Human resource development in schools.

Unit-4

·         The system of evaluation: Accreditation and Quality Assurance. Institutions created to watch quality concerns in school. Organisational climate and ethos-ensuring positive ambience within a school.

·         Improving the present system of inspection and supervision in schools: participatory management and issues of accountability in school transactions.
